Behind the Vinyl

Apr 29, 2022

Camp Trash is a real band I'm in it. That is the exact quote that could be found across a tee shirt the band put out last year. It's a slogan that quickly became a fixture in the DIY emo community, and even branched away when Brian Fallon could be found sporting the shirt. The joke began when Keegan would write on his Twitter for months that he was in a new band. No one believed him because there was a name out there, but no music. Camp Trash's story is a bit backwards. They grew a following on social media before even releasing a song. Keegan says its because he and Bryan are lazy at times. They will get going on something and then keep it in the wraps. Bryan states that it took Keegan 10 years into their relationship to finally say "hey, we should go record these songs." Camp Trash finally became official when they played a coffee house show with Worst Party Ever. It was a farewell show for their old band and an introduction for Camp Trash. The rest is history. The EP "Downtiming" came out in 2021 and showed that their music is for real - both literally and metaphorically. Now, the band has a huge announcement coming in the next week or two. Keep an eye out on their socials!
